Cast away thy trinket
fair maiden.
Why cling to the light?
Where was thy Goddess
when thine home burned?
Where were the Just
when thine husband perished?
Oh, sweet maiden...
Where is the vengeance
for the children slaughtered?

Let me show thee the path I walk
so I may lead thee to vengeance.
Call upon my name in battle
and I shallt crush thy foe.
Prey to the deity I serve,
and tears shallt no longer stain thine ivory skin.

As inspired by my latest D&D character, an elven cleric.
This scene has not, nor will it take place in the actual game, but while considering my character's history... well, this came out. Plus I have a most avid fasination with light being seduced by darkness.

The bad colours of the picture can be mostly blamed on my less than ideal scanner.

Amazing work! Bad scanner or not, the shading and the line art both look great - your style of drawing is so detailed and vivid! Also, I agree with you about this concept being an interesting one as you pointed out.
I guess in the end it's very "human" (for the lack of a better word here) to stray away from one's faith and/or principles in the face of hardship, like perhaps your cleric is about to in this picture. Understandable in a way, but whether it will be for the better or worse is debatable.

There is nothing conclusive however in this image - we are simply left wondering. Will she or will she not be seduced?
